TBP offers

a variety of workshops, information sessions, training and networking sessions.

Workshops are three-hour interactive sessions which provide information on a variety of appropriate subjects like marketing, writing a business plan, first steps to starting a business etc.

During information sessions outside speakers are invited. These speakers are well-informed and experienced in a particular sector and they present on specific topics. For example, SARS could present a session on tax issues for small businesses.

Training programmes, generally for existing business owners, range from one to eight weeks. These programmes target specific business needs like branding and advertising, sales, project management, costing, cash flow management, stock control and marketing.

Networking sessions focus on a particular business sector, for example tourism. Guest speakers from specific sectors are invited to address the sessions, and people running businesses in these sectors can then discuss common issues and learn, not only from the guest speakers but also from each other.

Business breakfasts for existing business owners focus on current issues which are relevant to entrepreneurs. Subjects include policy issues, innovation, governance and entrepreneurship, often with a keynote speaker.

Entrepreneurial master classes give emerging entrepreneurs with existing businesses access to some of the knowledge and experience gained by successful, established entrepreneurs within an informal and approachable setting.
