Boitumelo Marumo-Mthupha has been branch manager at TBP Gaborone since inception of the branch. Born the last child of a family of three children she was raised and educated in Gaborone and Swaziland.
She started her career as a high school Home Economics Teacher in Botswana after graduating from the University of Swaziland. During that period, she developed a great interest in domestic entrepreneurship and project management.
In 1990 she left teaching to pursue that interest and opened a vocational training and rehabilitation centre in Lobatse which provided entrepreneurial skills to people with physical disabilities and further assisted them to set up their own businesses. She was requested to facilitate similar services at a district level and, as a result, left the centre in 1994.
In 1996 her family relocated to the United States of America to further pursue her passion. There she completed her MBA and successfully started and managed her own business. She came back to her home country in 2005 where she was given the opportunity to pioneer this dynamic centre and share her experiences in a similar centre in the USA.
